Chiropractic & Acupuncture to treat a degenerative neurological problem in a dog

I want to introduce you to Milo. Milo is a 14-year-old energetic Weimaraner that a couple of weeks ago started collapsing from the back legs and was struggling to walk normally. His vet diagnosed him with a degenerative neurological problem that makes his back legs very wobbly and unstable.

Milo's owner contacted Integravet to help him with his condition and improve his quality of life, as Milo was still full of energy and eager to recover.

After a thorough examination we carried out an integrated treatment combining chiropractic, acupuncture and laser therapy. We repeated the treatment weekly and after the second treatment Milo greeted us in style, with no difficulties walking and behaving like the dog he used to be before his condition occurred. (see the video below).

Since then Milo has had weekly sessions for 5 weeks to build up the effect of the treatments given and now, we are planning to schedule (at wider intervals) treatments until we notice any reoccurring symptoms. Due to his degenerative neurological condition, Milo will more than likely require regular treatment for the rest of his life to keep him actively moving.

I am proud to say that Integravet has contributed towards the improvement of Milo’s quality of life.
